Back in February 2007 Brett Smith – President of S&S Cycle - called me asking if I was interested in painting a bike for a well known TV celebrity. I yawned and said “I suppose”…Yea right! I jumped at the opportunity!! We couldn’t discuss who it was at the time, but it didn’t matter to me, after all – DOUGZ paints for people from all walks of life. Whether they are someone famous, the local guy who hauls our trash, a restaurant owner, a CEO, it doesn’t matter. EVERYONE is important to us and we treat every one of our clients the same regardless of their income or social standing. But I have to admit, it felt pretty special being asked to paint a bike for Jay Leno!
